TSJCI Cancer Conference

The 13th International Cancer Conference took place in Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute on 14 & 15 April. This was organised by Trinity St James Cancer Institute, and CLuB Lead Prof. Lorraine O’Driscoll was one of the organising committee for this. The conference theme was Transforming Cancer Research and Care – Changing Lives and provided a unique forum for exchange of ideas and knowledge spanning from fundamental, translational and clinical research to excellent patient care.

CLuB sponsored the awards for the poster presentations, and the winners were:

First place: Martin J Sutton, Personalised Drug Discovery Approach for Multiple Myeloma using an Ex Vivo Bone Marrow Microenvironment Model.

Second place: Gordon Greville, Immunosuppressive Sialic Acid Remodelling Oesophageal Adenocarcinoma Progression and Treatment.

Third place: Jiawei Li, The Role of FKBPL on Tumour-Associated Macrophages in Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
