Ireland’s 1st OECI-accredited and designated Comprehensive Cancer Centre: Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute
Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute (TSJCI) has been officially accredited and designated as Ireland’s 1st Comprehensive Cancer Centre (CCC), advancing it to the highest level of recognition by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI).
As Research and Clinical Trials are the 2 main differentiators between a “Cancer Centre” (which TSJCI was designated in 2019) and a “Comprehensive Cancer Centre”, it is very rewarding that our cancer research - including our liquid biopsies research, one of the priority research areas of TSJCI - is internationally recognised as excellent.
The Award was bestowed at OECI’s Oncology Days, Athens, on 13th June 2025.
